November 2023 Ministry Update

Thankful

We are so thankful for the opportunity and privilege to serve the people of Nicaragua by teaching the Gospel and making disciples. God has been, and continues to be, so faithful to bring people into our lives and allow us a front row seat to watch His Word change their lives. We are also very thankful for all the pastors He has connected, and continues to connect, us with that have the desire to teach God’s Truth to the people they shepherd. We are thankful for God’s provision and know He uses each of you as you partner with us with you prayers and giving. Eph.3:20 is very real to us and we pray that it is real in your life, too. “Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us.”

Support Fundraising Update

In September we provided a status on our monthly Missionary/Ministry Support confirming that due to the effect of economic conditions on individual supporters and churches our monthly support had dropped by $1100 and our account had depleted as a result. At that time we announced our Missionary/Ministry Fundraising Campaign.Through the end of November we have been blessed with new monthly support partners with increased monthly contributions of $588. We have also received some more generous one-time gifts that are helping to replenish our account. This leaves us with a need for additional monthly support of $512 per month and additional one-time gifts to continue replenishing our account.

As we continue to pray for God’s provision, we are asking for current partnering churches and individuals to “promote” the need and new churches and individuals to partner with us both with one-time gifts to replenish our account and also commitments of monthly giving to meet the additional $512 monthly need.

Thank you for the very important role you play in these blessings. We excitedly wait to see who God will bring alongside to partner with us in His ministry to the people of Nicaragua.

Evangelism Training in the Community of Jicaro

We enjoyed serving Pastor Sergio Perez (Iglesia Sendero De Luz) and Pastor Melvin Herrera (Iglesia Apocento Alto) and many of their church members on Nov.9th. Quevit Francisco Garcia served with us as our translator. The people were eager to receive the resources, training and practice and are now prepared and ready to share the gospel with their neighbors and anyone else God puts in their path. God gets the glory! We are looking forward to our next training with them.

Iglesia Bíblica Bautista de Matagalpa - Pastor Omar Pallavicinnes

We enjoyed serving Pastor Omar and his church 4 times during the month of November. Albert (Tito) Espinosa served with us as our translator. Eric did a training on Evangelism, preached a Sunday morning message entitled Living Faith is Belief in Action, introduced the Bible study curriculum on Believe by Randy Frazee, and did an introduction and training of Grace Fellowship International’s The Exchanged Life Currículum. The people attending were engaged, eager to learn, and so welcoming to us. We look forward to our next Pastor Omar and the people in his church.

School Supplies and School Uniforms for Students in Pastor Cesar's Church

Through so many faithful supporters we are able to provide Biblically sound resources to pastors and church leaders. Sometimes God places it on someone’s heart to give to another specific need. Tina Hatley, from New Hope Baptist Church, has a heart for children and has given for several years to some of the children in Pastor Cesar’s church to help with uniforms and school supplies. We are so thankful for each of you who give to and/or pray for us and the people God has called us to minister to in Nicaragua.

Prayer Requests

* We are continuing to ask you to pray with us for our residency renewal. We are still waiting on some documents from the U.S. and are praying the Nicaraguan side documents will all be current at the time we need them. We are also praying for favor because we are now overdue. We know God is in the details and are trusting Him and His timing.

* We are continuing to pray for additional financial provision for our personal support and for ministry as God continues to lead us.
